Public Safety Dispatchers

Our public safety dispatchers play a critical role in ensuring effective communication, coordination, and response to emergency and non-emergency situations. Southampton Village Police dispatchers are responsible for receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching emergency calls for service, as well as providing assistance and support to our law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and the public.

As the public’s first interaction with our department, our dispatchers handle all 911 calls and non-emergency calls to the Southampton Village Police. Through Emergency Medical Dispatch training, they are trained and certified in providing medical instructions and assistance for administering first aid, CPR, and more.

Relaying information, coordinating resources, and offering assistance as needed, our skilled dispatchers are highly responsive and service oriented. Calm and professional, even in high-stress and challenging situations, they effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize calls, and make critical decisions to ensure the safety and well-being of our callers and responders.
